Double French Tip

Hello! Today I've got something to show you that I've been wanting to try for a while, but had just never gotten around to doing.  There are now lots of variations on the traditional french manicure, but this has got to be one of my favourites.  The nude with the black is such a classy but edgy combination.

Though I have quite a few untrieds sitting around, I painted my nails yesterday morning with Essie Topless and Barefoot (my favourite nude polish, 2 coats here) because I wasn't sure if I had to do an extra performance that was hapenning today and if needed I could wear the nude polish onstage.  It turns out I couldn't do it because of another scheduling conflict, so I added the black tips this morning.  I taped off the tip and painted on Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Black Out which oddly was terrible and goopy, considering all my other SH Xtreme Wear polishes work beautifully.  I then used a striping brush to freehand the thin line just below the tip.

We're actually getting periods of sun today, and I feel like I should go paint my nails a bright colour for the sole purpose of being able to get great pictures.  But I love this too much to take off right away.  I've got some inner conflict going on here.

One more thing, while I was away at provincials I reached 50 followers, and I now have over 60!  Thank you all so much for following me and it means so much that there are people who actually take the time to read what I have to say and leave lovely comments!  I didn't expect this blog to take off like it has, and I might do something special once I reach 100 followers, so keep an eye out!  :)

    1. Thank you! From my experience, Revlon is a very good brand. I live in Canada and get mine from drugstores at around $6 a bottle, but I quite often find them on sale for less. Most of the Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear polishes are also very long-wearing, and those are even cheaper at around $3. Hope that helped :)
