Shimmer Polish: Part 2

I hope everyone is having a good weekend so far!  It's been a while (read: way too long) since I've had any Shimmer Polish swatches on the blog, but I've got six more glitters for you today!  You can see my previous posts on Shimmer Polish here.

Super pic-heavy, so read after the jump for full swatches and review!  :)
First up is Tammy, a mix of gold, purple, and black glitter packed in a clear base.  I layered one easy coat over OPI Vant To Bite My Neck?, a deep eggplant purple.

Not going to lie, I wasn't expecting to like this one as much as I did!  It's quite a beautiful mix which really pops over the darker colour.

Leave it to my trusty lighbox (A.K.A. empty-Cheerios-box-turned-makeshift-lightbox) to show all the individual glitters in this beauty.  Click to enlarge, if you so wish.

Vicki is a mix of pink and silver glitters in a pink jelly base.  I layered one easy coat over LaCC 1957, but the jelly base is quite tinted and altered the colour of the LaCC quite a bit.

I'm not a huge fan of pink glitters in general, but I think this is quite a pretty mix and would appeal to a lot of people!

Jenny is a mix of mainly cyan-coloured glitters, but it flashes a whole rainbow of colours!  I layered one easy coat over Colors by Llarowe Paradise Found (which I'll post swatches of soon!).

Irene is a full-coverage mix of silver and gold micro-glitters, with an overall champagne-colour to it.  It also has flashes of many other colours, which you can see on my index finger in the first photo.  I built up Irene alone in three thin coats, though two may be enough if you don't have much free edge.

This looks to be somewhat similar to Essie Beyond Cozy which I've been wanting for a while, so I'm very glad to have this one now.  I also think that this would make fabulous glitter gradients, though I haven't given it a go yet!

Marilyn is another full-coverage polish; this time it's a deep red/burgundy jelly base with black and red microglitter.  This is three coats; formula was a bit thick but nothing unmanageable.  I've used one coat of Essence Gel Look top coat for the photos, but this one is quite hungry so I'd suggest at least two coats of a thicker top coat for a smooth finish.  You can see it actually eating my top coat while being photographed!

Such a stunning vampy polish!  Plus, I'm a sucker for anything named after Marilyn.  (piCture pOlish Monroe, anyone?)

As usual, I've saved my favourite of the bunch for last.  Jovie is different sizes of pink/opal iridescent glitter in a clear base.  I layered one thicker coat over A England Saint George for a stunning (but impossible to photograph) combination!  It's topped with one coat of Essence Gel Look top coat.

Iridescent glitter is so reflective and hard to photograph, but it's true beauty comes through in my lightbox!  Reminds me of a mermaid!  *drool*

Shimmer Polishes are available through Etsy and by email through the Shimmer Polish blog, and you can like the Shimmer Facebook page for updates.

Out of this bunch, my favourite is Jovie, but Marilyn and Tammy tie for a close second!  Which one is your favourite?  Let me know, leave a comment!  :)
