Oranges

Before we get on to today's nails, I'd like to remind everyone about my 100 Follower Giveaway!! Open to Canada and the continental US; just leave a comment with your email address! :)

I've used Essie Action a few times in nail art, but I had yet to use it by itself. I went with my trusted method of adding some studs because I didn't want to cover the colour with any other colours or nail art.  Here I layered two coats of Action over one coat of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear White On.  One coat of Seche Vite, some studs, one more coat of Seche Vite.

Unfortunately the polish went all bubbly on me and it shrunk a bit with the Seche Vite, which normally doesn't happen with Essie.  Also, let me say that my camera was freaking out and the colour in the pictures is nowhere near the colour it is in person.  The most colour-accurate picture I can find is in The PolishAholic's review of the Poppy-Razzi collection, but it is still much more neon.  In real life this is a true highlighter-orange.

I wasn't going for literal oranges when I was placing the studs, but I'm definitely getting that look from them and I think it's really cute. What do you think? :)

    1. Thank you! I only got Action, though I certainly wouldn't mind having the others, too! I found the polishes at a drugstore. As for the studs, I got them in a nail art kit from Winners; I think the kit was made by Color Club. It came with three striping polishes and lots of studs :)
