Guest Post: Accio Lacquer

As with Alexis' Eiffel Tower nail art while I was in Paris (see yesterday's post,) today's post also co-ordinates with my activities in Europe.  Today could quite possibly rival being in Paris; where am I going, you may ask?  To the Warner Brothers Leavesden Studios!!!!  :D  For those of you who live under a rock, it's the studios where all the Harry Potter movies were filmed, and most of the sets are still there to tour!

On to today's guest poster; she's still relatively new to the nail blogging scene but has some amazing photos and the most entertaining writing style of any blog I read!  Bringing us a Harry Potter-themed nail polish post, please welcome fellow geek, Mishka from Accio Lacquer!!  :D

Follow the jump for her whole post!

Hi guys! This is Mish of Accio Lacquer. I'm so excited to be coming to you today from Globe & Nail. I'm a regular stalker of Emma's blog, so when she asked me to do a guest post I pretty much fangirled for 3 hours straight. I tend to specialize in the geek side of the lacquer world - this post might make that very apparent. So without further ado, might I present you with The Unforgivable Curses by Pirate Polish. Check it out!

Mattified mind control (oh, just so you know, I matte every single manicure I do. I love a good mattification)

Imperius matte 1
Imperius matte 2

Imperius - It's not just for controlling your victim anymore. Within this bottle you will find a black jelly base with silver and blue flecks mixed throughout. The application on this was smoother than Professor McGonagall's transition to a cat. All of the photos show 2 coats, no undies.

Matted, because of reasons.

Do you want to know what won't cause excruciating pain, Reader? This polish, that's what! As with Imperius, we find a black jelly base. But this time it's mixed with a maelstrom of purple and red flecks. Cruciatus is my easy favorite from this trio. Just something about it. Here comes a lame pun. Are you ready? Application was wonderful - it certainly wouldn't give you cause to scream. Okay, that was bad...but I won't apologize. All the photos show 2 coats, sans underoos.

The mattification of death.

Hey, why can't you forgive someone for casting Avada Kedavra on you? BECAUSE YOU'RE DEAD, THAT'S WHY! Avada Kedavra shares the same black jelly base as the previous two, but with intense green and gold flecks mixed in. Because with a name like Avada Kedavra you know it had to be green. If Hermoine's wand flicks and swishes could be translated into polish application...well, this would be that application. Again, all of the photos show 2 coats, no underwear.

All 3 of these polishes can be purchased at the Pirate Polish Etsy shop. Also, be sure to like the Pirate Polish Facebook page to keep up with upcoming collections and shop updates. I guess that wraps up my post. I hope you guys have enjoyed my little spin on things. If you find yourself in the mood for more of my fangirl ramblings and favorite lacquers, head on over and check me out.

Thanks for reading, guys. And thank you, Emma, for having me. Allow me to awkwardly hug you.

Geek & Love,
Mish
