Nailz Craze Stamping Plate Review - NC01

I've been sick for a couple days now (just a cold - no worries) so I haven't gotten much done.  I did, however, get a chance to play around with a couple Nailz Craze stamping plates!  Today I've got two manicures to show you using plate NC01, and tomorrow I'll show you some looks using NC02.  :)

The first look is using the shamrock pattern from NC01.  I wore this mani for my driving test and passed, so the four-leaf clovers are definitely lucky!  ;)

Each stamping plate comes packaged the same as Konad plates, although they are significantly larger.  They come with a blue film over the plate (not pictured) which you have to peel off prior to using.  They don't have any paper backing on them like the Konad or BM plates, so be careful not to scratch yourself! 

I started with three thin coats of LaCC 1968 and stamped the image with Essie Good As Gold; it's all topped off with a coat of LaCC 2013 top coat.   The image stamped very easily, and I was pleased with the results.  

I think this image is so cute!  Although, being of Irish heritage, I may be slightly biased.  ;)

The second look for today is the well-known butterfly wing stamp from NC01.  I've had my eye on this for ages, and I'm so glad to finally have it!  :)

This one didn't stamp quite as well as the other.  The base colour is Estée Lauder Nouveau Riche; I used Konad special black polish to stamp, and this is how the image transferred... 

I think that this is due mostly to the fact that the bottom part of the image is a large open space; when it gets scraped some of the polish gets dug out of the image, leaving bald spots when it's transferred to the stamp.  I tried both my normal card and the Konad scraper, both with the same results. 

I filled in the missing spots with black acrylic paint and a nail art brush.  This is a little annoying, but in my opinion it's still a lot less work than doing the whole thing freehand! 

I added white spots with acrylic paint to finish off the butterfly look, and topped it with LaCC 2013 top coat.
