Rock the Boat

Sunday was my 2-year blogiversary, and I completely missed it - oops!  Unfortunately my life has been so crazy for the past while that I didn't have the foresight or funds to plan a giveaway or anything, but I'd like to thank you all for sticking with me through it all!  :)

I don't have a fancy post to celebrate, but I do have a swatch of a beautiful polish I wore last week!

This is four thin coats of Essie Rock the Boat, followed by a coat of Seche Vite and topped with a coat of Sally Hansen Big Matte Top Coat.  You could get away with three thicker coats too, if you've got a heavier hand than I do.  This gorgeous baby blue is from the terribly named Summer 2013 Naughty Nauticals collection.

I absolutely loved wearing this simple look - the baby blue with super subtle silver shimmer looks so delicate when matte, and it really got me in the mood for spring!  What do you think?  :)

  1. What a pretty polish it is..*sigh* but I was so annoyed with the formula that I sold my bottle. Btw, First Timer was not a part of Naughty Nauticals but 2013 Resort Collection instead :)

    1. The formula definitely requires some patience and work, but the colour is just so pretty! Haha, I definitely knew these weren't from the same collection... Can you tell I wrote this post very last-minute and late at night? :P Thanks for pointing it out!

  2. I *love* Rock the Boat, but have always thought of it as more of a late winter color. I never thought to put matte over it, and that simple addition makes it perfect for spring. I think I know what I'll be using for my next mani- thanks for the inspiration!
