Vivid Lacquer: Theoretical Blogger & Talking With My Hands

Good morning!  I'm so glad today's the last day before Thanksgiving long weekend, I've been so tired and am really looking forward to three whole days off!!

Today I've got two polishes from a new-to-me indie brand to show you, Theoretical Blogger and Talking With My Hands by Vivid Lacquer.  Continue reading after the jump!
Theoretical Blogger is described as "a purple crelly base filled with black, garnet, purple, and lavender glitter in various sizes."

This polish is a bit sheer by itself, but it built up to opacity in three thicker coats.  If you paint thinner coats, you may want to add a fourth coat to avoid any visible nail line, or you can layer it over another purple to use less coats.  The formula was easy to work with, but it did flow a little thick onto the nail so be careful when applying.  I topped it off with one coat of Essence Gel Look top coat to smooth out the glitters.

I absolutely love this light purple crelly base, and the tiny glitters look so delicate!  A lovely polish!

Talking With My Hands is "a sheer, buildable pink polish with green flakes and a light green flash."

Since this polish was a bit sheer alone for my liking, I decided to layer two thin coats over Essie Fiji.  The formula was easy to work with, but you do have to pay extra attention to avoid brushstrokes.  Once again, it's topped with one coat of Essence Gel Look top coat.

I really like this one in the bottle, but unfortunately this shade of pink just doesn't work too well on my skin tone.  I'm sure it would look great on lots of others though!

You can find Vivid Lacquer on Facebook and Twitter, and purchase these and other awesome polishes and stamping plates on Etsy.  I've also got a couple stamping plates from Vivid Lacquer to show you, so keep an eye out for those soon!

Theoretical Blogger is clearly my favourite of the two, but which one is your favourite?  Let me know, leave a comment!  :)
