Hi all! To kick off the new year, I've got five polishes to share with you from a new-to-me Aussie indie brand, Glam Polish!
Continue reading after the jump!! :)
I used three thin coats for opacity here, although two thicker coats would also do the trick. I was very pleasantly surprised with the formula - effortless! I topped it with one coat of Seche Vite to smooth everything out. I honestly wasn't expecting to like this polish very much because it's just not my style, but I ended up falling for how cute and girly it was! :)
Peppermint Patty is a mint crelly base with silver holo dots, small blue hexes and micro-glitter, and a few blue hearts in the mix.
I used four thin coats for complete opacity, as the formula gave me some trouble. The base was patchy, and I had to wait super long between coats to minimize the dragging of glitters. The heart glitters also required two coats of Seche Vite to feel mostly smooth, and even then they have the appearance of sticking out. Nevertheless, I really like the mint-coloured base on this one, it's so pretty and bright!
Mermagic is a clear base packed with large dots and small hexes in holographic silver, turquoise, light pink, and light purple. The first two photos are in the light box, and the last two are under direct artificial light.
Neon Nubs was created with Lissa of Ten Little Nubs as part of the Insta-Glam Collection. This light blue crelly base is loaded with large neon green and blue hexes, large neon pink stars, and smaller neon green and pink hexes.
As with Energizer Bunny, this one really surprised me! The formula did require a bit of patience, but so worth the final result! I used three thin coats for opacity, although I did do a little fishing for some of the larger glitters. This is such a bright and fun polish, it would be so perfect for summer! Two coats of Seche Vite to smooth everything out.
Saving my favourite for last… This is Indigo Sparkle, a holographic indigo (or blurple) jelly with a ton of pink micro-flakies!
I used three thin coats for opacity, and the formula was perfect. I waited for so long to get some sunlight to photograph this one, but it just wasn't hapenning unfortunately. It's still beautiful under artificial light, but in the sun it's just unbelievable! I love holos and purple is my favourite colour, so it's no surprise that I'm so in love with this!
Glam Polish is based in Australia, but does ship internationally through BigCartel and Etsy; you can also find a list of international stockists here. Like the Glam Polish Facebook page to keep up-to-date with everything.
My favourite of the bunch is obviously Indigo Sparkle, but Energizer Bunny and Neon Nubs are close seconds! Which are your favourites? :)
