Wow, I feel like I've been gone so long! Our dance school's Gala was last Friday night, and that went really well! Then on Sunday I left for Provincials to compete in senior ballet. I was in the top three, and after taking a tumble onstage during the finals I tied with my friend for runner-ups to the Provincial Champion. The adjudicator was from Royal Winnipeg Ballet, and I really enjoyed her classes and got a lot out of it, so I'd say it was a successful week. :)
Onto the nails! This is 2 coats of Essie Limo-Scene with 2 coats of OPI Pirouette My Whistle, followed by one more coat of Limo-Scene. I loved it sparkly, but since I had to wear it onstage I made a jelly sandwich. I would have preferred to use Essie Mademoiselle because it's more sheer than this one, but I couldn't find it at the time. One coat Seche Vite.
I found it very hard to capture how this looked with my silly camera. It was much prettier in person. I tried out Don't Touch My Tutu over the weekend as well, but was so busy I forgot to take pictures before I took it off. I'll use it again soon and take pictures.
When I was at provincials, I had nearly naked nails all week, and they've had the chance to grow out to (almost) how long they were before they broke, so I'm very excited to get back to painting them, as I still have a couple untried sitting on my desk begging to be played with. :)
So pretty!
