LaCC Fall/Winter 2013 Collection

Good morning!  I've got a super exciting post to share today... It's the first complete look at the new La Couleur Couture Fall/Winter 2013 Collection!  Full of rich cremes, perfect neutrals, and vampy shimmers, there's something in this collection for everyone!

This post is super picture-heavy, so read on after the jump!  :)

The formula on all these polishes was the same, so I'll just get this out of the way to avoid sounding like a broken record... PERFECT.  Every single one.  Each and every polish applied effortlessly, and had complete coverage in two coats.  This is a large part of the reason why I love my LaCC polishes so much and reach for them constantly: unbeatable quality!!  As an added bonus, when sandwiched between LaCC's 2012 base coat and quick-drying 2013 top coat, these last for days and days without chipping!  Now, onto the swatches...

We're starting off with one of my favourites, 1973.  This is a lovely rich grape purple creme.

I honestly didn't think I'd love this shade as much as I did when I put it on.  It's just so perfect!

1998 is a slightly dusty deep green-toned brown with a subtle golden shimmer throughout.

Photos don't do this one justice... The shimmer is much more noticeable in person and is beautiful!

1970 is a darkened berry-coloured creme... a deep purple-toned red.

This one was a little tricky to photograph accurately, but I'd say the upright bottle shot (shown below) is the most true-to-life.  I really love deep berry shades, so of course I love this one!

1988 is a flattering mushroom-taupe creme.  Side note: As a testament to how perfect all of these formulas are, this swatch is without any clean-up and shows exactly how it went on the nail.  Obviously not flawless when shown on macro mode, but pretty darn close in person!

In the bottle this one doesn't look like much, but on the nail it's such a lovely understated chic neutral!  I didn't think this would look too great on my skin, but Farima has found that perfect spot that somehow manages to flatter every skin tone!

1999 is a black base packed with silver shimmer/micro-flakies.

I gave a sneak peek of this polish last week in my Halloween nail art if you saw that post!  I also really enjoyed wearing this as a full manicure for a couple days; it's a refreshing take on black polish that makes it much more wearable than a flat creme!

1979 is a bright medium blue creme speckled with subtle colour-shifting flakies and a bit of shimmer.

This is quite the unique polish - I don't own anything else like it!  The flakies are very subtle and not too noticeable unless you look for them, but it's and interesting little detail that I love.

1940 is a vampy oxblood crelly, perfect for the season!

I was having such problems with my skin in these photographs because the polish stained like crazy when I cleaned up, although when I took it off my nails weren't stained.  This is such a classic and chic shade, in the style of the well-known Chanel Rouge Noir.  Timeless!

1966 is a stunning deep teal crelly loaded with green shimmer.

This is another favourite of mine!  It's such a perfect dark shimmery teal that glows from within... Love it!!

1941 is a deep but vibrant brick red creme.

This is a perfect twist on the classic red shade for fall; the brown undertones are so lovely!

1974 is a dark navy polish absolutely packed with shimmer that flashes silver, pink, purple, and blue!

What a stunner!!  This navy is absolutely gorgeous - the shimmer is so glowy against the blackened blue base!  Another favourite of mine.

1981 is a lovely salmon-coloured neutral creme.

Not going to lie, I thought this would look awful on my skin.  Imagine my surprise when I put it on and didn't get complete lobster hands!  It's still not the most flattering shade for me, but Farima's knack for picking the exact right shade is once again showing itself.  I'll definitely be using this one a lot for nail art! *hint hint*

Last but not least is a polish which is very special to me... because I created it!!  Months ago while talking with Farima as she was just beginning to put together this collection, I mentioned that I though that no Fall/Winter collection is complete without a vampy purple.  She suggested I create one myself for the collection, so I set out to mix the perfect shade!  I wanted a purple that was as dark as it could get without ever looking black, and I think we hit that sweet spot perfectly!  1971 is a rich dark eggplant purple creme that's perfect for fall and winter!

Obviously I'm in love with this shade... It's exactly how I wanted it!  A deep but vibrant purple that never looks black; it's awesome!!

I've got a few comparisons in mind for this collection, so I'll be working on putting together a comparison post over the next few days.

The entire LaCC Fall/Winter 2013 Collection is now available to purchase through the LaCC website, as well as through many online retailers and stores, which are listed here.  You can like the brand on Facebook to keep up to date as well!

So there we have it!  My personal favourites are 1973 (bright purple), 1970 (berry), 1966 (teal), 1974 (navy), and of course 1971 (dark purple), but in all honesty I love them all!!  Which polishes are your favourites?  Will you be picking any of them up?  Leave a comment!  :)
